NEWS & EVENTS

Happy New Year! We are grateful for a full and engaging 2025 and looking forward to more programming and community connections in 2026.

Some highlights from 2025 and things to look forward to in 2026!

  • Increasing class sizes! We had 70 people joining our classes in 2025 (both in person and virtually)!! That's amazing!
  • We started a new program in Jackson, Wyoming! Working with the local support group there, The Teton Parkies and collaborating with Dancers' Workshop, we are excited to have a new program there.
  • Lisa visited Steamboat for a check in on the program there and did some training for an expanding program for Movement classes for adult learners in the area.
  • We embarked on a film project highlighting the magic that happens in our classes – thanks to filmmaker and creative, Charlie Theobald, for your expertise and vision. We look forward to more filming in February 2026!
  • Always celebrating our partnership with CSU Music Therapy and CSU Occupational Therapy faculty and students. You all add SO much to our classes! We lookforward to continued collaborations this spring!
  • Upcoming research proposals/projects!! Stay tuned!

Great story on our program. Thank you to director Nicole Ehrhart, and the staff of CHA for providing such a wonderful home for MTP. Thankful also to the collaboraing programs/colleges across the university as well as our community to bring a rich and fullfilling program to the university and surrounding communities!

MTP is presenting and performing at the Museum of Art (201 S. College Ave.) in downtown Fort Collins THIS FRIDAY, Sept. 20th 6:00pm.

We are joining a month long exhibition featuring the work of NEUROPONG participants. Artwork is available for purchase as a fundraiser!

Learn about our program and share in a dance that we created to music performed by one of our participants, Deborah Noland on flute and partner Susan Zevenberger on harp. The event is free and open to the public.

MTP was invited to Yale University to The International Symposium on Embodied Cognition.

Invited by Dr. Martha Eddy, an international advocate of Somatic Movement Education & Therapy and speaker on Health, Wellness, and the BodyMind connection. Honored to be attending and presenting! Saturday, April 13th!

MTP hosted Heidi Hackler, Naturopathic & Functional Wellness Coach, for SLEEP, HYDRATION & ELIMINATION. Click on the image to watch the presentation. Thanks Heidi for bring your expertise and wisdom to our group.

This was a part of our Parkinson's Awareness Month activities!

MTP traveled to Austria and Poland in spring of 2023. Dr. Regina Stemberger invited Lisa Morgan to present at three rehabilitation centers and The Vienna Hospital Neurology Rehabilitation Unit. She then also traveled to Poland and was able to work with Katowice University/Music Therapy Program. An amazing collaborative adventure!
