Moving Through Parkinson's (MTP) supports individuals living with neurodegenerative movement disorders which include Parkinson's disease (PD) and multiple sclerosis, as well as associated challenges including dementia. Sessions are intentionally designed to improve balance, ease stiffness, strengthen coordination and spatial awareness, and build overall strength and endurance. The program brings people together to celebrate community, connection and overall wellbeing.

Community is the foundation of this work.
Participants form meaningful connections that reduce isolation and restore trust in their bodies.
Movement becomes a practical, everyday tool, and supports mobility, resilience, and well-being.

MTP is an interdisciplinary program that brings together CSU students and faculty from dance, music therapy, and occupational therapy,
alongside community partners committed to healthy aging.

The program was founded by Lisa Morgan, faculty of Colorado State University Dance, and affiliate faculty with the CSU's Center for Healthy Aging.
